The menstrual cycle is the regular natural change that occurs in the female reproductive system that makes pregnancy possible. The cycle is required for the production of oocytes, and for the preparation of the uterus for pregnancy. The menstrual cycle occurs due to the rise and fall of hormones.

Pharmacology:

HR 21 contains unique combination of Aletris Far, Cimcifuga Race, Damiana, Ferrum Phos, Helonias Dio, Sabal Serr, Senecio Aur and Sepia. The active agents in these increases motility and acts as tonic. There may be estrogenic principle that helps to alleviate female problems in particular dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, and complaints associated with prolapses vaginae. Increase in LH (Luteinizing Hormone) which decreases the estrogen level that is the main cause of menopausal symptoms, HR 21 contains cimifugaside and actein that binds to estrogen receptor where it selectively suppress LH (Luteinizing Hormone) secretion with no effect on FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone), the result is an estrogenic effect, which all decreases climacteric symptoms such as hot flushes, diaphoresis and psychological disturbances. The improvement in premenstrual symptoms, dysmenorrhea, and menopausal symptoms was due to its uterine tissue relaxment. HR 21 has powerful analgesic and anti-inflammatory activity as it acts on nocicep receptors to fade out the pain and it lowers interleukin-8 levels and reduces the exuded neutrophils. Formula with Properties:

Aletris far 1D: Premature and profuse menses, with labor-like pains. Retarded and scanty flow. Uterus seems heavy. Prolapse of uterus.

Cimicifuga racemosa 1D: ?Amenorrhea. Pain in ovarian region; shoots upward. Pain immediately before menses. Menses profuse, dark, coagulated, offensive with backache, nervousness; always irregular.

Damiana 1D: Said to be of use in sexual neurasthenia frigidity of females. Aids the establishment of normal menstrual flow in young girls.

Ferrum phos 4D: ?Menses every three weeks, with bearing-down sensation and pain on top of head. Vaginismus. Vagina dry and hot.

Helonias dio 1D: Dragging in sacral region, with prolapse, especially after a miscarriage. Pruritus vulv?. Backache after miscarriage. Weight and soreness in womb; conscious of womb. Menses too frequent, too profuse. Leucorrhea.

Sabal serr 1D: ?Ovaries tender and enlarged; Young female neurotics; suppressed or perverted sexual inclination.
