TRIFOLIUM PRATENSE

The common names of Trifolium are Red Colover, and Purple Clover. It is found abundant in Britain, throughout Europe and Central and Northern Asia. This remedy was introduced by Duncan. The mother tincture is prepared from flowerhoods and dilutions from it. The marked symptoms of the remedy are ptyalism, congestion of salivary glands and profuse flow of saliva. It is a useful remedy in spasmodic coughs, whooping coughs, coughs of measles, and coryza. It has also been employed in the cancerous diathesis.
