SULPHUR

Sulphur is a non-metallic element and is a brittle solid of a pale yellow colour. It is insoluble in water and alcohol but completely soluble in carbon disulphide. Sulphur was proved and introduced by Samuel Hahnemann. The mother tincture triturations and dilution are prepared from the Sulphur fine powder. The trituration is prepared by the ratio of drug strength 1/10 and mother tincture is prepared by the drug strength of 1/5000. Sulphur is great anti-psoric remedy proved by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann himself. Its action is centrifugal from within outward having an elective affinity for the skin. A typical sulphur patient indications are, ebullitions of heat, dislike of water, hair and skin dry and hard, red orifices, sinking feeling at stomach about 11am and catnap sleep. Sulphur patient is always uncomfortable while standing, always dirty filthy, prone to skin affections. When carefully selected remedies fails to act then Sulphur is employed to arouse the reactionary powers of the organism. This remedy is usually employed in beginning the treatment of chronic cases and in finishing acute ones.
