NUX VOMICA

The common names of Nux Vomica are Poison Nut, Strychnos and Nux Vomica. It is found in East and West Indies and also in the South America. Nux Vomica was proved and introduced by Hahnemann in 1805. The mother tincture is prepared from the dried seeds, triturations and dilution from it. It is an excellent stomach tonic. It increases the vascularity of the gastric mucous membranes and the gastric juices as well as biliary and pancreatic secretions. It is beneficial in colic gastralgia, gastritis, atony, dyspepsia, constipation, alcoholism, apoplaxy, and many other stomach complaints.
