COUGH
A cough is a common reflex action that clears the throat of mucus or foreign irritants. Coughing to clear the throat is typically an infrequent action, although a number of conditions can cause more frequent bouts of coughing.
A persistent cough that lasts more than eight weeks is a chronic cough.
Acute cough types include:
1. Chest Cough
a cough that comes from the chest is often triggered by excessive mucus. This type of cough is sometimes referred to as a ?productive cough? because the act of coughing gets rid of mucus in the chest.
2. Dry, Tickling Cough
this type of cough occurs when the throat doesn?t produce enough mucus, resulting in throat irritation.
3. Bronchitis
This type of cough produces yellow-gray phlegm and is normally accompanied by cold-like symptoms such as stuffy nose, headache, and fatigue.
4. Post-Viral Cough
a post-viral cough is a common symptom following an upper respiratory tract infection due to throat inflammation.
5. Whooping Cough
Whooping cough initially presents with mild, cold-like symptoms that snowball into severe coughing episodes over the course of a few weeks. The severe coughing phase also produces thick phlegm, and the condition is highly contagious.
COLD
The common cold, including chest cold and head cold, and seasonal flu are caused by viruses. Symptoms including sore throat, runny nose, congestion, and cough. Flu symptoms are similar, but include fever, headache and muscle soreness.
CATARRH
Catarrh is a build-up of mucus in an airway or cavity of the body. It usually affects the back of the nose, the throat or the sinuses (air-filled cavities in the bones of the face). It?s often temporary, but some people experience it for months or years. This is known as chronic catarrh.
COMPOSITION:
Each tablet contains: Ferrum Phosphoricum 3x, Kalium Muriaticum 3x, Magnesium Phosphoricum 3x, Natrum Muriaticum 6x, Natrum Sulfuricum 3x each 20mg w/w and excipients Q.S to tablet weight.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
No evidence exists for any established interactions with food or other substances/conventional medicines. Data derived from laboratory studies and healthy volunteers does not shows any of the serious effects of illness.
ADVERSE EFFECTS:
No adverse effects have been reported or observed till date. However existing symptoms may get worse temporarily when homoeopathic medicines are taken. Some individuals may experience sensitivity to the lactose in the tablet base of the remedy. Although the overall risk of homoeopathic remedies causing an adverse effect appears to be low. It is better to consult a Homoeopath instead of self medication which might results in negative effects due to improper diagnosis.
INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER SUBSTANCES:
There is no evidence that homoeopathic remedies interfere with other substances. Alcohol, tobacco and unhealthy life style may effect the efficacy of Homoeopathic remedies so try to avoid these habits for achieving best results. It would not be anticipated that there would be any interaction with conventional medicines.
DOSAGE:
As directed by the registered homoeopathic doctor.
Adult: 4 Tablets 4 times a day with every 3 hours interval.
Children: 2 Tablets 4 times a day with every 3 hours interval.
WARNING:
Take tablets 30 minutes before or after meals. This medicine contains lactose and wheat strach. Store in a cool & dry place.
