DIARRHOEA
Diarrhoea (also spelt diarrhea) ? loose, watery stools occurring more than three times in one day ? is a common problem that usually lasts a day or two. However, persistent diarrhoea can be a sign of other problems.
Diarrhoea can be described as either acute or chronic.
Acute diarrhoea is common and affects nearly everyone at some point. It can be caused by a virus or bacterial infection and should go away within a few days. Everyone is different so it might last longer for some people more than others.
Chronic diarrhoea continues for a longer period of time, usually more than two weeks. Chronic diarrhoea can be a sign of an inflammatory bowel condition, for example Crohn?s disease, or a chronic bowel infection.
A common cause of diarrhoea in both children and adults is gastroenteritis, which is an infection of the bowel.
In adults, diarrhoea caused by gastroenteritis will usually clear up in two to four days when the infection has cleared. If it lasts for more than a two weeks it may be a sign of a more serious condition and should be investigated by doctor, especially if there is blood or pus in faeces.
Diarrhoea can cause dehydration, which means the body lacks enough fluid to function properly. Dehydration is particularly dangerous in children and the elderly, and it must be treated promptly.
COMPOSITION:
Each tablet contains: Calcium Phosphoricum 3x, Ferrum Phosphoricum 3x, Kalium Phosphoricum 3x, Kalium Sulfuricum 3x, Natrum Sulfuricum 3x each 20mg w/w and excipients Q.S to tablet weight.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
No evidence exists for any established interactions with food or other substances/conventional medicines. Data derived from laboratory studies and healthy volunteers does not shows any of the serious effects of illness.
ADVERSE EFFECTS:
No adverse effects have been reported or observed till date. However existing symptoms may get worse temporarily when homoeopathic medicines are taken. Some individuals may experience sensitivity to the lactose in the tablet base of the remedy. Although the overall risk of homoeopathic remedies causing an adverse effect appears to be low. It is better to consult a Homoeopath instead of self medication which might results in negative effects due to improper diagnosis.
INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER SUBSTANCES:
There is no evidence that homoeopathic remedies interfere with other substances. Alcohol, tobacco and unhealthy life style may effect the efficacy of Homoeopathic remedies so try to avoid these habits for achieving best results. It would not be anticipated that there would be any interaction with conventional medicines.
DOSAGE:
As directed by the registered homoeopathic doctor.
Adult: 4 Tablets 4 times a day with every 3 hours interval.
Children: 2 Tablets 4 times a day with every 3 hours interval.
WARNING:
Take tablets 30 minutes before or after meals. This medicine contains lactose and wheat starch. Store in a cool & dry place.
