HEADACHE
Headache is pain in any region of the head. Headaches may occur on one or both sides of the head, be isolated to a certain location, radiate across the head from one point, or have a viselike quality.
A headache may appear as a sharp pain, a throbbing sensation or a dull ache. Headaches can develop gradually or suddenly, and may last from less than an hour to several days.
A primary headache is caused by over activity of or problems with pain-sensitive structures in your head. A primary headache isn?t a symptom of an underlying disease.
The most common primary headaches are:
- Cluster headache
- Migraine
- Migraine with aura
- Tension headache
- Trigeminal autonomic cephalalgia (TAC), such as cluster headache and paroxysmal hemicranias
A secondary headache is a symptom of a disease that can activate the pain-sensitive nerves of the head. Any number of conditions ? varying greatly in severity ? may cause secondary headaches.
Some types of secondary headaches include:
- External compression headaches (a result of pressure-causing headgear)
- Ice cream headaches (commonly called brain freeze)
- Medication overuse headaches (caused by overuse of pain medication)
- Sinus headaches (caused by inflammation and congestion in sinus cavities)
- Spinal headaches (caused by low pressure or volume of cerebrospinal fluid, possibly the result of spontaneous cerebrospinal fluid leak, spinal tap or spinal anesthesia)
- Thunderclap headaches (a group of disorders that involves sudden, severe headaches with multiple causes)
Possible causes of secondary headaches include:
- Acute sinusitis (sinus infection)
- Concussion
- Dehydration
- Dental problems
- Ear infection (middle ear)
- Hangovers
- High blood pressure (hypertension)
- Influenza (flu) and other febrile (fever) illnesses
- Meningitis
- Overuse of pain medication
- Stroke
COMPOSITION:
Each tablet contains: Ferrum Phosphoricum 3x, Natrum Muriaticum 3x, Kalium Phosphoricum 3x, Magnesium Phosphoricum 3x each 25mg w/w and excipients Q.S to tablet weight.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
No evidence exists for any established interactions with food or other substances/conventional medicines. Data derived from laboratory studies and healthy volunteers does not shows any of the serious effects of illness.
ADVERSE EFFECTS:
No adverse effects have been reported or observed till date. However existing symptoms may get worse temporarily when homoeopathic medicines are taken. Some individuals may experience sensitivity to the lactose in the tablet base of the remedy. Although the overall risk of homoeopathic remedies causing an adverse effect appears to be low. It is better to consult a Homoeopath instead of self medication which might results in negative effects due to improper diagnosis.
INTERACTIONS WITH OTHER SUBSTANCES:
There is no evidence that homoeopathic remedies interfere with other substances. Alcohol, tobacco and unhealthy life style may effect the efficacy of Homoeopathic remedies so try to avoid these habits for achieving best results. It would not be anticipated that there would be any interaction with conventional medicines.
DOSAGE:
As directed by the registered homoeopathic doctor.
Adult: 4 Tablets 4 times a day with every 3 hours interval.
Children: 2 Tablets 4 times a day with every 3 hours interval.
WARNING:
Take tablets 30 minutes before or after meals. This medicine contains lactose and wheat starch. Store in a cool & dry place.
