Influenza:
Influenza (commonly referred to as ?flu?) is a contagious viral infection that affects mainly the upper respiratory organs (nose, throat, bronchi and, occasionally, lungs).The virus is transmitted easily from person to person via respiratory droplets?produced when people cough,?sneeze or spit.?Close contact (less than 1 meter) is usually needed to get infected. Influenza tends to spread rapidly in seasonal epidemics. Uncomplicated influenza signs and symptoms typically resolve after 3-7 days for the majority of people, although cough and malaise can persist for >2 weeks, especially in elderly people and those with chronic lung disease.

Pharmacology:

Formula with Properties:
Antipyrinum 1D: inflamed nasal mucous membrane, frequent coryza, slight pain in forehead, disturbance of voice, suffocated chest.
Aconite Nap 4D: Mucous membrane dry, nose stopped up; dry or with but scanty watery coryza. Coldness and heat alternate. Cold waves pass through him. Thirst and restlessness.
Chamomilla 1D:?sensitive, irritable, thirsty, hot, and numb. Sensitive to all smells. Coryza, with inability to sleep.
Eucalyptus Glob 1D: Influenza. Fevers of a relapsing character. Typhoid. Stuffed-up sensation in the nose. Chronic catarrhal, purulent and fetid discharge. Scarlet fever (protective and curative). Discharges show a tendency to foulness, high temperature, accelerated but not strong pulse.
Eupatorium perf 3D: Influenza, with great soreness of muscles and bones. Hoarseness and cough, with soreness in chest; must support it. Thirstlessness before fever. Burning pain. Knows chill is coming on because he cannot drink enough.
Ephedra vulg 1D: extreme sadness, hardness of the neck region, straining of whole body while moving neck, protruded eyes.
Gelsemium Semp 3D: Wants to be held, because he shakes so. Prostrated. Chill, without thirst, Sneezing, Watery, excoriating discharge, swelling of turbinates. Great prostration, and violent headache.
Millefolium 1D: Nosebleed (Erecht). Piercing pain from eyes to root of nose. Continued high temperature.
Sambucus Nigra 1D: Acts especially on the respiratory organs. Dry coryza of infants, snuffles, edematous swellings. Profuse sweat accompanies many affections.
