Introduction:
Eye is the organ of sight. The eye has a number of components. These components include but are not limited to the cornea, iris, pupil, lens, retina, macula, optic nerve, choroid and vitreous.
The tissues of the eye can be split into three types:
- refracting tissues that focus light
- light-sensitive tissues
- support tissues
Common eye problems such as conjunctivitis and eyesight weakness.
Conjunctivitis also known as pinkeye, is an inflammation of the conjunctiva. The conjunctiva is the thin clear tissue that lies over the white part of the eye and lines the inside of the eyelid.
Several things could be, included:
- Viruses, including the kind that causes the common cold
- Bacteria
- Irritants such as shampoos, dirt, smoke, and pool chlorine
- Fungi, amoebas, and parasites
Amblyopia: Partial or complete loss of vision in one eye caused by conditions that affect the normal development of vision.
Less common causes of amblyopia include ptosis (drooping) of one eyelid, disease of the cornea (preventing light from entering the eye), congenital cataract, and injury to the eye of a young child.
Indications:
HR 58 provides affective relief from most of eye problems. It is useful for glaucoma, cataract, conjunctivitis and many other eye diseases. It promotes eyesight and provides fast acting and tolerated relief from dry eyes.
Pharmacology:
HR 58 contains Pilocarpus Jaborandi in which pilocarpine effects when there is too much pressure inside the eye (Glaucoma) which may peel off the retina and can cause blindness. It is the main cause of blindness. HR 58 might stimulate saliva production, sweat, and muscle contractions in the stomach and intestines. HR 58 contains pilocarpus Jaborandi which is a cholinergic parasympathomimetic agent exerting a broad spectrum of pharmacologic effects with predominant muscarinic action. Pilocarpine can increase secretion by the exocrine glands. The sweat, salivary, lacrimal, gastric, pancreatic, and intestinal glands and the mucous cells of the respiratory tract may be stimulated. HR 58 causes miosis, spasm of accommodation, and may cause a transitory rise in intraocular pressure followed by a more persistent fall. HR 58 causes smooth muscle stimulation of the intestinal tract may cause increased tone, increased motility, spasm, and tenesmus. HR 58 contains Echinacea Ang which contains masses of inulin, inuloid, sucrose, vulose, betaine, two phytosterols and fatty acids, oleic, cerotic, linolic and palmatic. Echinacea increases bodily resistance to infection and is used for boils, erysipelas, septicaemia, cancer, syphilis and other impurities of the blood.

- Gelsemium semp 2D 10% v/v
- Hamamelis Virg 1D 20% v/v
- Jaborandi 3D 20% v/v
- Ruta Grav 1D 15% v/v

Formula with properties:
Echinacea Ang 1D: it is a blood purifier. Goitre with exophthalmic symptoms, dizziness, lethargy and weak eyesight.
Euphrasia Off 3D: Acrid lachrymation; bland coryza. Discharge thick and excoriating. Burning and swelling of the lids. Pressure in eyes. Rheumatic iritis.
Gelsemium semp 2D: Ptosis; eyelids heavy. Double vision. Vision blurred, pupils dilated. Deep inflammations, hysteria, orbital neuralgia and contraction of muscles.
Hamamelis Virg 1D: Painful weakness; sore pain in eyes; bloodshot appearance; inflamed vessels. Removes blood clotting in eyes.
Jaborandi 3D: irritation and inflammation in eyes. Eyes easily tire from slightest use that leads towards headache.
Ruta Grav 1D: Eyes-strain followed by headache. Eyes red, hot, and painful from sewing or reading fine print. Asthenopia, lethargy, pain and burning.
